Pumpkin Palooza Scarf Exchange

FALL...my favorite season! I love the rich colors of the leaves, the cool crisp mornings, wearing a scarf and sunglasses at the same time, pulling out my puffer vests, football, and of course, anything and everything PUMPKIN! I also love any excuse to have a party/get together, so when I read about Shay's {yes, The Bachelor's sister} scarf exchange, I knew I had to do something similar! I spiced things up a little bit, and incorporated a pumpkin recipe exchange as well.

Everyone brought their favorite pumpkin dish, with recipes to share:

Pumpkin Pie Martinis

We enjoyed great conversation, fellowship, and yummy pumpkin treats!

We are all busy, and while I do my best to make time for friends and meet for a cup of coffee or lunch, its always nice to take time out of our hectic schedules to get together.

And who doesn't love a fun, new scarf to kick off the fall season!?  We did the exchange white elephant style, allowing people to steal a scarf if they wanted to! At first, everyone was so nice and sweet, opening a new scarf on their turn...but it didn't take long before the ruthless, heartbreaking stealing started.

I picked based on the wrapping, and went with the cute box :)

A sea of scarves {or is it scarfs!?}

I love to play hostess and any excuse to throw a party.  While I enjoy the smaller details, like the cute labels, decorations etc., I really don't have time in my schedule right now to play Hostess With The Mostess, but I don't want that to be an excuse to not entertain and have people over, because after all, what is most important is time with friends.  Don't wait for the perfect time, perfect situation to have friends over, because it will never happen! Invite people over, have them bring a dish or bottle of wine,  do a quick cleaning of your bathrooms, and voila, you have yourself a party!

Life can get crazy, but it's important to stop and take the time to be with those nearest and dearest to you.
